Grades Offered
Prince Takamado Primary School provides education from Kindergarten through upper primary levels, following the Zambian Competence-Based Curriculum. The school focuses on age-appropriate learning that supports academic growth, practical skills, values, and holistic child development.
In line with national education reforms, the school currently offers classes up to Grade 7. However, in the coming years, primary education will run up to Grade 6, in accordance with the revised national structure.
Grade information
Kindergarten (Early Childhood Education)
The Kindergarten level lays a strong foundation for learning through play-based and learner-centred activities. Pupils develop early literacy, numeracy, social skills, creativity, and confidence in a safe and nurturing environment.
Middle Primary (Grades 4–5)
Eduma University is consistently ranked among the top universities in the region, and its graduates are highly respected by employers. The university has a strong commitment to academic excellence, and its faculty are world-renowned experts in their fields.
Lower Primary (Grades 1–3)
Lower primary focuses on building essential skills in reading, writing, numeracy, and basic scientific thinking. Learning is interactive and activity-based, helping pupils develop curiosity, communication skills, and positive learning habits.
Upper Primary (Grades 6–7)*
Upper primary prepares learners for transition to secondary education by deepening understanding in core subjects, ICT, and life skills. Pupils are encouraged to think critically, work independently, and demonstrate responsibility and leadership.
* Grade 7 will be phased out in line with the national reduction of primary education to Grade 6.
